We Decided on Forever

"Two lives united in friendship, 

Two friends united in love, 

One love united in Christ."

Buddy and I decided on forever and it started when we shared our "I do's" last January 13, 2013 at Taal Basilica Church. A simple Sunday mass turned out to be our wedding day.

When the priest was doing the wedding rites for the four couples, Buddy held my hand, looked straight into my eyes and said, "I, Buddy, take you, Buddy, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life." Me? I was surprised, blushed, uber kilig and in bliss. I didn't know what to say and do 'coz it was all very unexpected. But that's not over yet. Buddy continued and said, "Wear this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." What I've just done was lightly beat his arms. Hahaha silly me. Because I was super kilig.

And the priest said aloud "You have declared your consent before the Church. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. What God has joined, men must not divide. Amen."

There was no marriage contract yet, but in our hearts and in God's presence we were united as one.
